Root-Ball Transfer Cradle with Split Base
Support the Root Ball Between Pots.
Two sliding cradle halves provide temporary support for an already-loosened root ball during a small-pot transplant.
Product Overview
Moving a small plant can leave loose compost on your hands and work surface. This split cradle is designed to support a root ball after it has been released from its original pot. Lower the supported root ball into a prepared new container, then withdraw the two halves gently to either side. It is a handling aid and cannot prevent root damage or make a pot-bound plant release itself.
Key Features
Two overlapping cradle halves
The base halves overlap beneath the root ball while being held level. They do not form a locked container and must be supported with both hands.
Short external grip tabs
Grip tabs keep your fingers outside the main root-ball area. Work close to the new pot and avoid carrying a plant over a distance.
Sideways removal
Once the root ball is supported in the new pot, slide each half away slowly. Stop if roots catch or the compost begins to break apart.
A separate soil-catching mat
The folding mat sits under the work area to collect ordinary loose compost. Empty it after transplanting and store it dry.

Does it prevent transplant shock?
No. Plant response depends on root condition, species and aftercare.
Can it lift large shrubs?
No. This concept is for small container plants within the tested size and weight limits established before sale.
